Instructor

"five, six, seven, eight....
and one, two, three, four..."
Dancers grow accustom to this rhythmic counting from their instructors,
who study the musical beats in each song as a tool to teach
dance steps, movement techniques and to design and coordinate dance routines.

Gabrielle Sherman, a leading competitive dancer
resides as Founder and Director at Fierce Dance Academy.
Gabrielle has developed a cutting edge professional dance program
that allows her to create confident, strong and proud dancers.
Through her energetic and infectious teaching style;
she has the ability to inspire dancers
with her innovative choreography and positive personality.

Gabrielle has danced at both
recreational and competitive levels for 16 years.
She has had the opportunity to dance in Alabama, Tennessee, Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana, Michigan, and the Carolinas ; bringing home titles in regional and national competitions and conventions.

Gabrielle is passionate about dance and is always
expanding her skills and knowledge by attending innovative dance conventions,
allowing for her to work with many nationally known and incredibly talented choreographers.
Some of the conventions attended include
Monsters of Hip Hop, Dupree Dance, Dance Rogue, JUMP, and Collective UTH.

Gabrielle strongly believes
that in order to be the best possible instructor
she must always expand on her knowledge, maintain an open mind,
and remain motivated and confident in herself both as a dancer and an instructor.

Her philosophy on dance education
is for her dancers to have a strong foundation of technical dance,
develop an appreciation and respect of oneself, other dancers and the art of dance
and most importantly she hopes to instill a deep passion for dance in all of her students.

Gabrielle would like all of her students to have the same opportunity
that she was given as a young dancer that allowed for all of her success.

Gabrielle looks forward to dancing with you!
